Washing Instructions for Your Fluffy Terry Towels

To keep your towels soft and cozy for a long time, we’ve put together a few simple tips for you.

Sorting
Sort your towels by color. Bright, bold colors should go in the wash separately the first time. This helps avoid any unpleasant surprises.

Don’t overload
Your washing machine shouldn’t look like an overstuffed bargain bin. Give your towels some room to breathe.

Don’t underload
Too little laundry in the machine increases energy consumption and can lead to more lint due to stronger friction.

Washing program
The right temperature: 60°C is usually ideal. It kills bacteria and ensures hygienic cleanliness. But always check the care label – the manufacturer knows best what their product can handle.

First wash:
60°C – our towels are not prewashed, the terry is fresh and new. The first few washes help tighten the loops and remove residual dye. Heat is important here – so wash at 60°C the first time!

Detergent
Less is more: Three detergents are all you need for daily laundry – one for whites, one for colors, and one for delicates.
Powder vs. liquid: Powder generally cleans more thoroughly.

No, thank you! Fabric softener clogs the fibers of your towels. The result: less absorbency and a fluffy dream that quickly turns into a nightmare.

Tumble dryer or air-dry – both are fine. But please don’t dry them in direct sunlight – it can make your towels stiff as a board.
Towels turned stiff? No problem! Just knead them well, and they’ll be soft again in no time.

Washing symbols
– the secret language of care labels:

  • Tub: Washing allowed, number shows the max temperature.

  • Triangle: Bleaching allowed (but be careful!)

  • Square: Drying instructions, often with a circle for tumble dry.

  • Iron: Ironing allowed, dots indicate the temperature.

  • Circle: Dry clean only.

Now – off to the washing machine!
With these tips, your towels will be clean, fresh, and cozy again in no time.
